PURPOSE:
"...to encourage the efficient and creative use of the parcels of land in Sturbridge that are suited for primarily non-residential use. Although development under this provision must comply with the design and site planning standards given below, the strategy for the use of the land is intentionally undefined. The Town of Sturbridge desires to encourage projects that will meet the demands of the market, improve the economic base of the community and protect the town’s character. Any development within this district must recognize that protection of Sturbridge’s rural character will be a prime consideration for approval or denial."
