Two Ways to Get Your Master’s Degree in Labor Studies

At UMass Our Master’s degree in Labor Studies is offered in two different formats:

1)  Accelerated Residential ProgramA full-time, 1.5-year residential program on UMass Amherst Campus.

This program is suitable for students who are able to come spend a year of intensive study with us on-campus.

Fall 2024 Admissions Deadline: March 1st, 2024

2)  Limited Residency Programs Part-time, 2.5-year Union Leadership and Activism (ULA) and Union Leadership and Activism for Educators (ULA(Ed)) programs.

These programs are for workers who want to maintain their current employment, but are able to come to campus on a limited basis for intensive study.

July 2024 Admissions Deadline: April 1st, 2024

January 2025 Admissions Deadline: October 7th, 2024
