Nominations for Scanlon Student Employee of the Year awards
Nominations are being accepted for the 2009-10 Gerald F. Scanlon Student Employee of the Year.
The intent of the award is to recognize and honor students who have demonstrated exceptional performance by contributing their time and/or skills to help the University achieve its goals and objectives. Up to 10 awards will be presented at a celebration on Wednesday, May 5.
Departmental supervisors may nominate any matriculated student who has been employed for six months or who is a junior or senior. A selection committee comprised of supervisors representing each vice chancellor’s division will review the nominations and select award recipients. Selection criteria include dependability, demonstrated initiative, and original contributions to the workplace.
This award is named in the memory of a man who was a staunch supporter of students throughout his 20-plus years with the University.
Nominations are due by Tuesday, March 2. Nomination forms are available online or contact Anne Peramba in the Student Employment Office at 545-2886.
