Fire hydrant flushing begins July 8
Physical Plant will begin flushing fire hydrants on Tuesday, July 8 and continue through the first full week of August.
Flushing will take place Tuesdays and Fridays from 3-11 p.m., according to Pam Monn, assistant director for Buildings and Grounds at Physical Plant.
Flushing will start on the campus perimeter areas before moving to the core of campus as the night progresses. Special attention will be made for research areas as not to stir up the water during normal working hours, she said.
