'Money for Nothing' author Gillespie to speak April 5

Money for NothingJohn Gillespie, author of “Money for Nothing: How the Failure of Corporate Boards Is Ruining American Business and Costing Us Trillions,” will speak April 5 about how corporate boards have contributed to the global economic crisis.

Gillespie's presentation begins at 1:30 p.m. in 210 Isenberg School of Management. Following the lecture, he will sign copies of his book in the Isenberg Atrium.

John Gillespie was an investment banker for 18 years with Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley and Bear Stearns and was the CFO of a nationwide human services company. He has an MBA from the Harvard Business School, is a lifetime member of Net Impact, and is married to New Yorker writer Susan Orlean.

This event is co-sponsored by the Isenberg School of Management and Net Impact UMass.
