Governor to host young adult community meeting on campus
Gov. Deval Patrick is scheduled to visit campus Oct. 21 to lead a community meeting with young adults at 12:15 p.m. in the Cape Cod Lounge of the Student Union.
According to the Governor’s Office, the event is intended to promote civic engagement and highlight the role people ages 18-35 play in the state economy. He will be joined by a panel of young adults from the local area.
“These meant to open lines of communication between our administration and young people, and give students and workers a chance to tell us what we’re doing right and what we can do better,” said Patrick in a prepared statement.
The forum is part of a 10-week series of community meetings the Patrick administration launched last month.
