Power restored after morning outage

Power was restored to the east side of campus today at about 11:15 a.m. following an outage of 75 minutes that affected about 25 buildings, the Physical Plant department reports.

A loss of power from Western Massachusetts Electric Company resulted in a breaker tripping on campus, according to Larry Snyder, associate director of administrative services at Physical Plant. Once WMECO resolved its problem, the breaker on campus was reset and power was restored.
