Readiness Project panel hosts discussion of higher education issues

A subcommittee of Gov. Deval Patrick’s Readiness Project is hosting an informal discussion on governance, collaborations and efficiencies in the public higher education system on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 4-6 p.m. in the Campus Center Auditorium.

The discussions with the UMass and Public Higher Education Subcommittee are intended to assist the panel in its deliberations, according to co-chairs Robert V. Antonucci, president of Fitchburg State College, and John Bassett, president of Clark University.

In addition to hearing from staff, faculty, students and alumni, the subcommittee is also accepting written comments via e-mail to gwyatt@fsc.edu.

Other sessions are being held this week at North Shore Community College and Bridgewater State College. While focused on the issues of governance, collaborations and efficiencies, other concerns are being addressed by 12 other subcommittees of the Readiness Project.
