Du Bois Library adds new quiet study areas
By Sara Afzal
New quiet study areas on the second and third floors of the W.E.B. Du Bois Library recently opened for use.
Both floors have modular seating with table-tops connected with dividers and full wireless connection with the option of outlets, according to Emily S. Silverman, director of Library Development and Communication.
These renovations serve as an alternative to the often overcrowded and noisy Learning Commons, said Silverman.
Funds for the renovation came from the Library’s operating budget, she said.
