The campus Libraries are conducting a brief survey to assess how electronic resources are used to support research, teaching and coursework.
The survey will be conducted randomly twice a month through August 2009. Each survey period lasts two hours. During the survey periods, users will be required to complete a short, five-question survey before accessing the electronic resources.
The survey, based upon the MINES for Libraries methodology (Measuring the Impact of Networked Electronic Services), is an online, transaction-based survey that collects data on the use of electronic resources and the demographics of users. The MINES survey allows the Libraries to gather information from users who no longer need to physically enter library facilities in order to access resources.
