Classics faculty lecture at Willamette, Vanderbilt

Under the auspices of the Archaeological Institute of America’s national lecture program, two members of the Classics Department spoke last month at colleges in Oregon and Tennessee.

Assistant professor Anthony Tuck spoke Oct. 15 on “Goddesses, Aristocrats and the Politics of Sex in Early Eturia” at Willamette College in Salem, Ore.

Professor Rex Wallace lectured at Vanderbilt University in Nashville on Oct. 29. He discussed archaeological decipherment and the Etruscan language.

The Archaeological Institute of America’s lecture program is designed to bring information about recent developments in classical archaeology to the scholarly community and the general public.
