Xing honored by Environmental Science & Technology

Professor Baoshan Xing of Plant, Soil and Insect Sciences, was recently presented an Excellence in Review Award by the Environmental Science & Technology division of the American Chemical Society Publications.

The award salutes the significant contributions made to the journal by 24 reviewers during the past year.

“A journal exists on the goodwill and expertise of its reviewer corps,” said Jerald L. Schnoor, editor of Environmental Science & Technology. “We realize that reviewing is a time-consuming job with no tangible award.”

Accordingly, he said, the journal established the awards in 2003 to recognize “reviewers who have consistently provided both scholarly and timely reviews.”
