Faculty to lead workshop on dispute resolution in health care
Four faculty members have been asked by the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to organize and host a workshop on “Dispute Resolution in a Connected Health Care World” in May in Washington, D.C.
Ethan Katsh, Legal Studies, and Lee Osterweil, Lori Clarke and Norman Sondheimer of the Computer Science Department, will lead the session, which is aimed at anticipating the need and opportunities for online dispute resolution as electronic medical records, a high priority of the Obama administration, are implemented more widely.
The workshop is part of a multi-year research collaboration between the National Center for Technology and Dispute Resolution and the Electronic Enterprise Institute, both based on campus.
February 10, 2009.
