Gershenson receives grant for research in Russia
Olga Gershenson, assistant professor in Judaic and Near Eastern Studies, has been awarded an IREX Individual Advanced Research Opportunities Fellowship to conduct research in Russia.
She will use her fellowship to travel to Moscow for six months to carry out field research for her new book titled “The Holocaust in Soviet and Russian Cinema.”
Gershenson will be in Russia from March to August.
IREX is an international nonprofit organization providing leadership and innovative programs to improve the quality of education, strengthen independent media, and foster pluralistic civil society development.
