Andrianopoulos to keynote symposium in Greece

Mary AndrianopoulosMary Andrianopoulos, associate professor of Communication Disorders, will be a keynote speaker at the first annual Symposium on Voice and Swallowing and their Disorders to be held April 20-22 in Athens, Greece.

Andrianopoulos will be speaking on “Neuropathological Issues Affecting Swallowing and Therapy for Neuropathology of Voice.”

Assistant professor Christina Foreman and graduate student Dimitrios Chamizidis are also scheduled to attend the conference.

Andrianopoulos, Foreman and assistant professor Shelley Velleman were also invited to present their research on motor speech disorders in autism spectrum disorders at the University of Athens’ department of cognitive science on April 19.

Andrianopoulos was a Fulbright Scholar in medical sciences at the University of Athens during the 2003 year.
