WFCR's 'Tertulia' airs live interviews for Hispanic Heritage Month

New England Public Radio is airing a series of special live interviews on the station's Spanish-language program, Tertulia, in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month. Host Raquel Obregon will be joined in the studio each week by special guests including:   
 
Sept. 30: Manuel Frau Ramos, editor of El Sol Latino.
 
Oct. 7: Ilan Stavans, Lewis-Sebring Professor in Latin American and Latino Culture and Five College Fortieth Anniversary Professor at Amherst College.  
 
Oct. 14: Mari Castañeda, associate professor of Communication (right), and Marcos A. Marrero, director of planning and economic development for Holyoke.  
 
Topics range from albinism in the Puerto Rican community, to the importance of the Latino vote in the 2012 election. In addition to this special lineup of interviews, Tertulia will feature its usual selection of Latin music. Tertulia airs every Sunday from 8-10 p.m. on WFCR 88.5 FM.
