Obituary: John Koloski, retired Physical Plant mason
John F. Koloski, 87, of Hadley, a retired mason at Physical Plant, died Feb. 24 at Charlene Manor in Greenfield.
Born in Hadley, he was educated in local schools and graduated from Hopkins Academy in 1944.
When his brothers went to war, he stayed behind to tend to the family farm, where he lived all his life.

He joined the Physical Plant staff in 1973 and retired in 1989.
He leaves his nieces and nephews, Barbara Mitchell of Amherst, Richard Koloski of Ft. Myers, Fla., Patricia Wagner of Amherst, David Koloski of Old Saybrook, Conn., Jane Larsen of Somerset, Joan Betters of Charleston, Joyce Keegan of Paxton, Steven Koloski of Easthampton and Susan Wilkes-Furlano of Canaan, N.Y., and several grand- and great-nieces and nephews.
