Information session for 'Shaman's Pharmacy' class in Amazon
There will be an informational meeting for PSOILIN 398, "The Shaman's Pharmacy," on Monday, March 4 at 6 p.m. in 124 Stockbridge Hall.
"The Shaman's Pharmacy" offers students the opportunity to study ethnobotany and medicinal plants in the Amazon rainforest of Peru over the summer semester in August. This is a three-credit course and overall fees are around $3,500. This course is open to UMass and Five College students and is great opportunity for students who are studying anthropology, pre-med, biological sciences, chemistry, environmental sciences, food science, geography, tourism, journalism, linguistics, nursing, nutrition, plant soil and insect science, public health services, sociology or Spanish.
