Gershenson profiled in Israeli newspaper Haaretz
Olga Gershenson, associate professor of Judaic and Near Eastern Studies, was profiled March 5 in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz in connection with the forthcoming publication of her book, “The Phantom Holocaust: Soviet Cinema and Jewish Catastrophe,” by Rutgers University Press.Gershenson spoke about her book at an International Conference on “The Holocaust and the Jews in the Second World War in Soviet Literature and Film” held Feb. 19-20 at Yad Veshem, Israel’s official memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust.
