The Center for Women & Community, formerly known as the Everywoman’s Center, is hosting a Dress for Success Clothing Drive as one of the events of its 40th anniversary celebration. The clothing drive, scheduled for Nov. 19-30 is co-sponsored by Sigma Psi Zeta sorority.
Dress for Success provides free professional attire to women returning to, or entering the work force. This is an international not-for-profit organization offering services designed to help clients find jobs and remain employed. Donating items supports women to gain employment and help in their journey towards self-sufficiency.
Dress for Success currently accepts new or nearly-new and cleaned:
Interview-appropriate suits and related separates (the greatest need is for items size 14 and up and shoe sizes 9-12)
•Blouses, blazers and jackets
•Basic professional accessories (scarves, belts and handbags)
•Coats and outerwear for all seasons
