Each year the Residential Life department seeks qualified applicants for several graduate assistant opportunities. During the fall semester, we accept applicants for unexpected vacancies which may occur during the current academic year. During the spring semester, we accept applicants for vacancies/possible vacancies for the following academic year. If there are no confirmed vacancies, we will still collect applications in the event any occur.
Applications are accepted from current and potential graduate students at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Candidates must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student in a degree-granting program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst before being offered a position. Please refer to the specific position description for additional minimum and preferred qualifications.

The following are the 2017-2018 positions in Residential Life: Residence Education. Any changes to positions will be posted as soon as positions and budget are finalized. The Student Affairs Minimum hourly amount per GEO contract will likely increase sometime during the 2017-2018 academic year. Stipend amounts within these position descriptions are calculated with current minimum of $25.23/hr. Therefore, totals may end up being larger depending on the new minimum amount and when it will take effect.

Applications are now being accepted for candidates interested in being considered for any available positions in Residential Life for the 2017-2018 academic year. Applications received by the Priority Consideration Deadline of February 1, 2017 will be considered first. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled. Part 3: Reference information. Candidates are required to submit information for two (2) professional references. We ask for name, relationship to applicant, and email address. After we have received your complete application we will contact your references via e-mail to complete our reference form.
