A unique program is available for individuals that consciously alter their transportation choices and use public transit, carpool, ride a bike or walk. The NuRide Rewards program is an incentive program designed to reward those progressive choices with discounts and freebies.
The state of Massachusetts has entered into a contract with NuRide and all UMass students statewide are eligible to participate as a result. There are rewards available all over Massachusetts for those that choose to track their trips and points with a NuRide user account.
The Sustainability Initiative has partnered with Transit and Parking Services at UMass Amherst to encourage students to take full advantage of the NuRide program. It is their collective hope that businesses in the Amherst area will soon be offering NuRide rewards for conventient redemption by UMass students.
