Multi-Building Comparative Analysis

Project Category:

Green Building

The UMass Amherst (UMA) is the flagship of the five-campus University of Massachusetts system and is a community of over 25,000 students and 8,000 employees.  Currently in the midst of a $1 billion capital improvement program, the campus occupies over 10.8 million GSF in more than 300 major buildings, which include a wide range of building functional uses in facilities that represent over a century of building construction types.

Our project focuses on evaluating existing building annual energy performance across multiple metrics.  The goal is to establish benchmarks for energy use that are linked to space use and building type.
