Rachel Dutton

Rachel Dutton graduated from UMass Amherst with a B.S. in environmental science and is happy to put it to good use now working as a Sustainability Coordinator for UMass Auxiliary Enterprises. As a Sustainability Coordinator, Rachel contributes to campus-wide food sustainability projects and outreach efforts. She also provides administrative support to the UMass Permaculture Initiative, a group working to build edible, ecological landscapes right on campus.

As an undergrad at UMass, Rachel was an active member of the UMass Permaculture Initiative and worked on additional food sustainability projects. Most notably, Rachel worked with UMass Dining administration and staff to eliminate trays in the dining commons, saving about 30% food waste per student.
