Biography
Kathryn Slater has recently earned her Masters Degree in Regional Planning from UMass Amherst, and is now the Program Coordinator for the Massachusetts Cooperative Research Program (MCRP), housed at the University of Massachusetts Transportation Center. As part of the MCRP, Kathryn works as an intermediary between the Massachusetts Department of Transportation's Research Program and the resources available in the University and State College Systems. Kathryn is passionate about making alternative forms of transportation (walking, biking, transit) easy and obvious for people on campus. One of her priorities while working with the Sustainability Initiative is to champion a Bicycle Commuting Program for students and staff.
