Kathleen Doherty

Kathleen Doherty is a student of Environmental Design at UMass, with a double minor in Spanish and Chinese. After completing a Permaculture Design course this past summer, her interest in sustainability deepened into a passion for permaculture. By empowering college students to shorten the chain of production and get a deeper understanding of sustainability by producing their own food, Kathleen believes the UMass Permaculture Committee will change the world. Beyond her interest in sustainability, she is an Irish step dance teacher, an avid reader, and a beginning fiddler.
