Herman Miller "What Makes Your Campus Green?" Student Video Contest

Herman Miller, Inc. is launching its third annual video contest for full-time students attending two or four-year U.S. and Canadian colleges and universities. Students have the opportunity to get creative when responding to a single question posed by the company, “What Makes Your Campus Green?”

A green campus could include specific programs and initiatives in which students are involved, or it could have a structure that encourages and simplifies individual efforts to be more sustainable; anything that demonstrates how their campus is looking out for the Earth.

“Most campuses are involved in efforts to increase their sustainability,” said Jeff Vredevoogd, Director of Herman Miller Education. “We frequently have conversations with leadership on campuses about this topic, and now we want to hear from students. This is a chance for students to have fun, be creative, and celebrate their school’s achievements in sustainability.”

Contest entries are due before 5 pm EST on April 6, 2012. Representatives from the company will select three finalists whose submissions best represent creativity, originality, and appropriateness to the theme. A public vote will decide the final ranking for the top three submissions.

  • First place—$2500
  • Second place—$1500
  • Third place—$1000
