Energy
- Microwaves, coffee makers, and other small appliances are unplugged at night or are programmed to shut off through a timer.
Recycling
- We recycle inkjet and laser jet cartridges.
Waste Reduction
- If we publish a newsletter, we offer an electronic version that readers can select instead of the paper version.
Kitchen
- If our office has water dispensers that utilize 5-gallon jugs of water, we have replaced them with tap water filtration systems. (Contact the Sustainability Initiative for vendor availability)
Purchasing
- We use paper that contains at least 50 percent post-consumer recycled content given that copiers and similar machines in our office accept paper of this grade. (Where to buy 50%)
