Eco-Rep Trash Sort

Students from the UMass Eco-Rep program will don protective suits and sort through trash that has been taken from all the residential areas on campus and emptied out onto Library Lawn. The goal is to separate actual trash from matericals that COULD have been recycled because once sorted, the Eco-Reps will be able to put a number on the percentage of material that could have diverted from the landfill! The event is geared towards raising awareness about what we throw away and how the new implementation of Single Stream Recycling across campus can help. 

The rain date for this event will fall on Wednesday, October 3rd (same time and place).
