Members of the Educationand Research subcommittee work to increase the visibility of UMass’s environmental and sustainable programs and discoveries.
In 2012-2013 three task groups formed to address the following projects:
Mapping Sustainability Education
Goals include the standardization of a set of sustainability related learning outcomes across campus, the creation of a campus-wide Sustainability Education Program Committee, and campus commitment ot ongoing faculty development in sustainability. In Fall 2012, the group worked across departments and with the Registrars Office to create the first Sustainability Course Listing. This group is currently in the process of publishing a white paper on Mapping Sustainability Education due out in March 2013.
Connecting Sustainability Research
Advancing the Five College Sustainability Studies Certificate
