HUMDRUM 2002

University of Massachusetts, Amherst

The annual joint class meeting of Hopkins, University of Maryland, Rutgers, and the University of Massachusetts will take place April 20-21.

Kie Zuraw is giving a colloquium at UMass on Friday, April 19. HUMDRUM participants are invited to attend!

HUMDRUM is an opportunity for the students of the aforementioned universities to present their work in Optimality Theory in a friendly, non-combative environment. Participation is voluntary and non-competitive. Anyone who wishes to present may do so—just let your local organizers know as soon as possible. Give us the area of your talk (acquisition, phonology, syntax, etc.) and the title, if you have one.

Talks are the usual 20 minutes + 10 minutes for discussion.

In the past, the proceedings of the workshop have occasionally been published. The proceedings of HUMDRUM 2002 may also be published if there is sufficient interest, and if the attending faculty and students agree that it is a good idea.
