Hotels/Inns offering conference discounts:

The Campus Center Hotel: 413-549-6000 (phone), 413-545-1210 (fax). $70/night (one person), $80 (2-4 persons).
        No group code; mention "Linguistics conference"; email Rachelle Allen directly at: rallen@mail.aux.umass.edu, phone or fax.
        Give dates, number of people in room, address and phone number at the time of reservation.
        If you're arriving after 6pm, they need a credit card number to hold the reservation.

The above rates are available only until 5 pm (EST), April 18th, 2002.

The Hampshire Hospitality Group: 2-night minimum stay required. Blocks of 20 rooms have been set aside for FASL 11 and the Workshop (until April 16, 2002; make reservations by then). Please mention the group code "UDL" at time of reservation. Details at: www.hampshirehospitality.com.
The following hotels/inns are located on Rt.9 (about 10 min by car from campus); there will be shuttle service available on the days of the conferences.

   Holiday Inn Express:   413-582-0002. $129 (Friday & Saturday), $82 (Sunday-Thursday).

   Howard Johnson Inn: 413-586-0114. $89 (Friday & Saturday), $72 (Sunday-Thursday).

Small Inns and Bed & Breakfast: Discounts of 10% are usually available for blocks of rooms (5+ rooms)

Allen House and Amherst Inn: 413-253-5000. $125-135/room with private bath. $10 discount available. Website: www.allenhouse.com        

Amherst Motel: 413-256-8122    Weekdays $54 plus tax, weekends $63 plus tax.

Emily's B&B: 413-549-0733. 2 suites with with kitchen $95/day, 3 rooms with private baths $90/day, 3 rooms with shared bath $70/day.
10% discount for 3+ day stays. (No vacancy as of April 12).

EconoLodge: 413-584-9816. Weekdays: queen $75, King $80, 2 doubles $85. Weekends $95/$100/$120.

University Motor Lodge: 413-256-8111 $79/day $89 weekend.  All rooms with double beds.

Crash space: Please contact kjyung@linguist.umass.edu with requests for crash space. Please let us know if you'd be able/willing to bring along a sleeping bag.
