Description

Introduces the methodology and results of modern linguistics. The course focuses on developing hypotheses and evaluating theories concerning various aspects of our unconscious linguistic knowledge. This is accomplished by way of investigation of sound production and perception (phonetics), sound distribution (phonology), word structure (morphology), and sentence structure (syntax).
