LSA ARTICLE PRIZE GIVEN FOR THE FIRST TIME


The recently created LSA Article Prize was awarded for the first time at the Association Luncheon in St. Louis. Maureen Cain, member of the Article Prize Committee, presented the prize to David Engel and Frank Munger for their article, ARights, Remembrance, and the Reconcilation of Difference,@ published in the Law & Society Review, 30 (1): 7-54 (1996). The Article Prize is awarded biennially in alternate years with Law and Society Association Book Prize (renamed for the 1998 award, the Herbert Jacob Book Prize of the Law and Society Association). The Article Prize consists of $500 and a certificate of award.
