Gordon Hall was completed in August 2003, so we are not located on older maps. We are at 418 North Pleasant St., Amherst, which is just before fraternity/sorority row, on the right as you head to town from campus. If you get to Hillel or the Continuing Education building , you've gone too far.
If you enter Gordon Hall from the entrance off of North Pleasant Street, go down one flight and head to the back of the building. The side entrance is actually the closest to the Department, next to the small parking lot (permit only). We're on the ground floor.
You can find us on this map. We are in the southeast corner of campus, next to the Baptist church and across the street from where Butterfield Terrace lets out onto North Pleasant Street.
We offer directions to UMass if you are unfamiliar with the campus and how to get there. We're relatively close to the Visitor's Center (see maps).
All Legal Studies majors have a Departmental Academic Advisor, Tami Paluca, in Room 103, Gordon Hall. Check with her if you have any questions about your major requirements. To make an appointment, call her at 413-545-9698. She is happy to do phone appointments. Her email address is tlpaluca@legal.umass.edu.
Remember to regularly check (and print out) your Degree Audit on Spire, to make sure things look the way you expect. Tami can help you with Legal Studies requirements, Arts and Sciences Advising in E-24 Machmer can help you with all issues related to Global Education, and any Dean's Office issues. If you have questions about your General Education Requirements or transfer credits, contact the Registrar's Office in 213 Whitmore.
