Production Board Operation Regulations for Legal 497P Students

Students who enroll in the optional honors colloquium for Legal Studies 497P will learn digital production techniques and script-writing in order to produce one half-hour Public Affairs program. The completed project will air on WMUA 91.1 FM during the Winter broadcast season.

This colloquium is worth 1 credit.

Legal Studies H03 will be comprised of 2-3 separate lab groups, depending on the level of interest. Each lab meets weekly and is held in the WMUA studios in the Campus Center basement. There are a total of 9 lab meetings throughout the semester.

Students choose a topic pertaining to law and work in teams of 3-5 people. An overview of the lab topics is as follows:

1st lab: Introduction to the production studio

2nd lab: Productio n basics

3rd lab: Advanced production

4th lab: Topic refinement

5th lab: Public affairs programming tutorial

6th lab: First graded project assessment

7th lab: Second graded project assessment

8th lab: Third graded project assessment

9th lab: Production help


In addition, 1-on-1 production help can be scheduled with me, depending on my availability.

Finished programs will be due no later than 5:00 PM on Monday, December 25th. Excuses for missing or late work are subject to the same late work / missing work policy as work for the L497P course.
