Dr. Hamin has also taught Land Arch/Reg Pl 691f: Research Issues; Reg Pl 591a: Seminar on Economic Development Theory; and Reg Pl 692h: Technology and Urban (Re)Form. Previous teaching as Temporary Assistant Professor in Community and Regional Planning at Iowa State University and as Instructor in HSS at the University of Pennsylvania. Special research interests include: the influence of life sciences on the development of the planning field; urban infrastructural and ecological history; social/cultural perspectives on environmental risk, security, and 'quality of life' in cities; and the long-term impact of technologically-transformed food ecologies/economies.
