Before joining the University of Massachusetts , Elizabeth Brabec was a Professor and Department Head in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning at Utah State University and Associate Professor at the University of Michigan , School of Natural Resources and Environment. With a Master in Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph, Canada, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland , she founded and managed the landscape planning firm, Land Ethics, Inc. in Washington , D.C. Her research interests are focused on land conservation and the design and planning of sustainable open space, complemented with a strong interest in culture and the historical basis of landscape form. email: ebrabec@larp.umass.edu |
