In celebration of the Centennial of Landscape Architecture at
the University of Massachusetts, LARP and the University Gallery
are calling for works that represent the full spectrum of alumni
practice in planning, design, implementation, and research.
Work is sought from alumni from all our programs-landscape architecture,
regional planning, environmental design, and landscape contracting.
Works-built, unbuilt, visionary,
scholarly, theoretical, and works of art-are desired that
express the breadth of the profession including research,
landscape planning, policy issues, the environment and ecology,
urban and town design/planning, housing/community planning
and design, open space, parks, garden design, environmental
art, historic preservation, design implementation, and maintenance.
Landscape works expressed in high quality photos, plans, sections,
elevations, sketches, diagrams, and models are sought and
will be displayed in a multimedia exhibition using slides,
digital, and video images projected onto the walls of the
University Gallery in the Fine Arts Center in the Spring 2004.
Deadline for submissions is November
1st, 2003.
The achievements of all LARP alumnae who submit work will
be presented as an expression of the state of the art. An
editorial group of alumni, faculty, and students will curate
the works for a spectacular multimedia presentation to run
from February 1 to May 14, 2004 in the University Gallery.
