Fragstats Documentation --This pdf document contains a contains a complete description of FRAGSTATS, including important background information considered prerequisite to any landscape pattern analysis. This document also provides detailed user guidelines for the software, including step-by-step instructions of how to parameterize and run the software. Lastly, this document provides a description of the metrics computed in FRAGSTATS. Metrics are grouped according to the component of pattern they measure and into patch, class, and landscape metrics. Each metric is given in mathematical terms and described in narrative terms, and the measurement units and theoretical range in values are reported. All FRAGSTATS users should read this document prior to using the software and should consult this document before seeking technical assistance.
