I am a fifth year graduate student in chemistry, specializing in analytical chemistry, with focus in mass spectrometry.  I am also pursuing a degree in chemical engineering on the side.

I was born in Calcutta, India, and moved to the United States when I was 14.

I enjoy watching hockey, football and soccer.  Since I grew up in Massachusetts I have become an avid Boston Bruins and New England Patriots fan.  I have always been a Brazil and A.C. Milan fan.

To keep my sanity I enjoy photography, reading, music and cycling (nothing like the feel of the open road).  I own a Trek 2000 racing bike.

View of the Umass campus.  The towering building is the Lederle graduate research tower.  On the right is the Goesmann chemistry building, where our lab is located.
