The Juniper Institute could not thrive without support from its community. We are proud to partner with these fine organizations and individuals, many of whom provide invaluable support in the form of scholarships. Their contributions have made participation in the Institute possible for many talented writers who would otherwise be unable to attend.
The Alliance for Young Artists and Writers, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, identifies teenagers with exceptional artistic and literary talent and brings their remarkable work to a national audience through The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
Amherst Books, in downtown Amherst, is a locally owned, independent bookshop selling new and used books. Their particular strengths include poetry, literature, and philosophy; they also carry a large selection of small press titles and literary journals.
Factory Hollow Press publishes books, chapbooks, and broadsides in limited editions. The publishing division of Sleepy Lemur Quality Enterprises, which is the production division of The Meeteetzee Institute, FHP resides at Flying Object in Hadley, MA.
jubilat has aimed to publish not only the best in contemporary American poetry, but to place it alongside a varied selection of reprints, found pieces, lyric prose, art, and interviews with poets and other artists.
NEOMFA is a consortium of four universities: Cleveland State University, Kent State University, the University of Akron, and Youngstown State University. NEOMFA’s unique collaborative design allows students to take advantage of a large pool of award-winning faculty and concentrate in the writing of poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction.
The Rendezvous, the Pioneer Valley’s leading bar-venue, features great food and Ms. Pac Man. They also host of a number of literary and extra-literary events. They are located in Turners Falls, MA.
The University of Massachusetts Graduate School, with a Graduate Faculty of 1,100 at the Amherst campus, is the major research institution in the Five-Campus University System. The School offers 51 programs leading to a doctorate and 73 programs toward a master's degree. The Graduate School’s contributions to Juniper help support writers of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
