The Juniper Summer Writing Institute announces seven nights of poetry & fiction readings by acclaimed Faculty & Writers in Residence

June 21: Lydia Davis & Dara Wier
Writer and translator Lydia Davis has published four collections of short fiction, including Varieties of Disturbance and Samuel Johnson Is Indignant, and a novel, The End of the Story. Dara Wier’s ten books of poems include Remnants of Hannah, Reverse Rapture, and Hat on a Pond.

June 22: Terrance Hayes & Noy Holland
Terrance Hayes is the author of Wind in a Box, Hip Logic, winner of the National Poetry Series, and Muscular Music, winner of the Kate Tufts Discovery Award. Noy Holland is the author of two story collections: The Spectacle of the Body and What Begins with Bird.

June 23: Holly Black & Mark Doty
Holly Black is the best-selling author of fantasy novels for teens and children, including The Spiderwick Chronicles. Mark Doty is the author of eight books of poems, including Fire to Fire: New & Selected Poems, and three volumes of nonfiction prose.

June 24: Charles D’Ambrosio & Alex Phillips
Charles D'Ambrosio is the author of two collections of stories, The Point and Other Stories and The Dead Fish Museum, anda collection of essays. Alex Phillips is the author of the poetry chapbook Under a Paper Trellis; his poems and translations have appeared in Open City, Poetry, and elsewhere.

June 25: Paul Lisicky & Lisa Olstein
Paul Lisicky is the author of the novel Lawnboy and the memoir Famous Builder. Lisa Olstein is the author of two books of poems: Radio Crackling, Radio Gone, winner of the Hayden Carruth Award, and Lost Alphabet.

June 26: Shauna Seliy & James Tate
Shauna Seliy is the author of the novel When We Get There. James Tate is the author of over twenty books of poetry and prose, including The Ghost Soldiers, Return to the City of White Donkeys, and Selected Poems.

June 27: Chris Bachelder, Arisa White & Matthew Zapruder
Chris Bachelder is the author of three novels: U.S.!, Bear v. Shark, and Lessons in Virtual Tour Photography (an e-book). Arisa White is the author of a poetry chapbook Disposition for Shininess; her poems have appeared in Gathering Ground: Cave Canem. Matthew Zapruder is the author of two poetry collections, American Linden, and The Pajamaist.
