Larry Parnass is the editor of the Daily Hampshire Gazette in Northampton. He has been on the 225-year-old newspaper's staff since 1988 as an editor, reporter and columnist and earlier worked for the Winston Salem (N.C.) Journal, the Danbury (Conn.) News-Times and the Torrington (Conn.) Register-Citizen. He has written for Reuters, the Boston Globe and the Hartford Courant and is a 1983 graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
