Lorraine Martinelle (formerly Lorraine Urbanski), class of 1997, is the Director of Public Relations and Social Media at Nichols College. Formerly, she was the director of media relations at Assumption College in Worcester, Mass. She previously held a public relations position at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, was the first woman editor of the Southbridge Evening News, worked as a legislative aide in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, and served the town of Sturbridge (Mass.) on its Board of Selectmen.

Terrence McCarthy, class of 1977, graduated cum laude with a degree in English/journalistic studies. He has worked a newspaper reporter and op-ed columnist, with op-ed pieces published in The Wall Street Journal, Providence Journal, Hartford Courant, Charlotte Observer and other newspapers. He is the author of a memoir, "You Had To Be There - from Web Town To Psych Ward," and two collections of humorous and personal essays, "Road Work" and "Piece Work." His fourth book, and third essay collection, "Blood Work," is expected to be published soon. He is also a regular commentator for NPR on Robin Hood Radio, WHDD. Visit his website here.

Stephanie McPherson, class of 2010, is working as a freelance Writer and Multimedia Producer. Her clients include Joslin Diabetes Center, Marine Biological Laboratory and MIT's Environmental Solutions Initiative. She graduated from MIT's Graduate Program in Science Writing in '11, held internships at PRI's Living on Earth and PBS NOVA.  She's married to a mechanical engineer, "whose constant creativity keeps my passion for science writing fresh," she said.

Luke Meredith, class of 1998, is working as an AP Sports Writer in Des Moines, IA.
Andrew Merritt, class of 2005, was on the Daily Collegian staff from 2001-05 serving as the sports editor and then managing editor. After graduating, he spent nearly two years on the sports staff at The Berkshire Eagle in Pittsfield, before moving on to be a copy editor for three and a half years at the MetroWest Daily News in Framingham. In July 2010, he became the editor of the Waltham News Tribune, and is a regular contributor to the New England Hockey Journal and New England Baseball Journal. He's also had freelance work published by the Boston Herald, the Associated Press, the Denver Post and the Daily Hampshire Gazette. Andrew now works as a  Copywriter at Global Rescue LLC. Andrew Miga, class of 1979, has worked as a reporter at Associated Press for the past six years. He is based in Washington, D.C., and covers politics, focusing on members of Congress from the Northeast states, including New York, Pennsylvania and New England. He was mentored by Ralph Whitehead and started his career at daily and weekly newspapers in Massachusetts before working as a general assignment reporter, political reporter and Washington bureau chief for the Boston Herald for many years, beginning in 1986.
