PEER ADVISING

Is there anything you wanted to know about the Journalism major, but didn't know who to ask? Do you have general questions about your UMass experience that you wanted answered? Are you a high school student considering coming to UMass to study journalism? If you have questions about: Journalism courses, getting involved with student media, internships, double majors and minors, Gen eds, Global eds, Commonwealth College, Five College exchange, studying abroad as a journalism major, or anything else that's on your mind, contact Journalism major peer advisers Parisa Saranj, Leslie Byford , Christina Cernak, Daniella Bordonaro, and/or David Humphreys to answer your questions. These 5 senior Journalism majors are available to share with you their own experiences and their best advice.

 

ACADEMIC ADVISING

All Journalism majors are encouraged to take advntage of the variety of advising options available to them.

(1) All Journalism majors are assigned an academic advisor fromm Journalism on SPIRE.

(2) Students are encouraged to seek advice from any of their Journalism professors.

(3) Barbara McGlynn is Journalism's staff advisor and is available to all students. Walk-ins are welcome; appointments are not required but can be arranged.
