RICHARD B. NEWTON
is the Information Technology Manager for the Environmental Institute. Newton holds a B.F.A. degree in photography from the Massachusetts College of Art, and a B.S. and M.S. from UMass Amherst in Natural Resource Planning. He teaches Journal 391R, Travel Writing and Photojournalism, which includes a 10-day excursion to Sicily during Spring Break. He has been a participating faculty member in the summer art program in Europe and serves on the UMass Committee on Overseas Programs and Exchanges in the Office of International Programs.
