George Forcier is managing editor of The Recorder of Greenfield. He has worked 30 years in the business, mostly as reporter and editor at five different New England small dailies. He has taught reporting and editing for 20 years at UMass. He is also a freelance magazine writer and sometime desktop publisher. Otherwise he spends time making furniture, brewing beer and baking bread.
