IT Minor Requirements

The IT Minor is intended to supplement focused study in a student's major discipline. The IT Minor recognizes and celebrates the diversity of students who wish to pursue IT. No one course is prescribed; students choose from a wide-ranging set.

To ensure a coherent, well-rounded minor that is esteemed by employers and graduate programs, the IT Minor comprises 18 credits in total, structured as follows:

At least two of the courses in the Minor, beyond the Foundation course, must be taken outside of your primary major department.

Grades

All of your IT Minor courses must be taken on a graded basis, and your cumulative GPA for those courses must be 2.0.

Minimum Grade

Students who are admitted to the university, beginning in the Fall of 2009, may count only one course with a grade below a 2.0 (C) toward the minor.
