Manually Locate and Publish Recordings from the Echo360 Personal Capture Directory

Windows

To locate and publish Echo360 Personal Capture recordings: 

  1. Make your recording(s) using the Personal Capture software.
  2. When you are done, click the gear icon in the Personal Capture software. This will open the settings page.
  3. Click Browse next to the Storage Location Field. The Browse for Folder window will open.                                                     (Click to enlarge)
  4. In the Browse for Folder window, locate the folder(s) that contain(s) the recordings you want to import to Echo360, Identify the correct folder(s) by mousing over them and taking note of the date/time stamp(s).                                         (Click to enlarge)
  5. One folder at a time, right click to copy/paste the folder to your desktop
  6. After a folder is copied, open it, and locate the audio display.wmv file. Play the file to identify which lecture it is, then rename the file accordingly.                                                                                                                                            (Click to enlarge)
  7. Log into Echo360.org using your email address and Echo360 password. If you forgot your password, click Forgot your password? and reset it.
  8. To upload your file(s), follow the directions on Echo360's Uploading Content to Your Library help page.
    Note: It will take some time for the videos to process, anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple of hours.
  9. After the recordings have processed and are in your Library, follow the instructions for adding content to your course on Echo360's Publishing Content to a Course or Individual help page.

MacOS

To locate and publish Echo360 Personal Capture recordings: 

  1. Make your recording(s) using the Personal Capture software.
  2. When you are done, click Echo360 Personal Capture > Preferences> at the top of your screen (next to the Apple icon.)

  3. When the Preferences window opens, identify the location of your recordings storage folder. (It should be in your Documents folder.)   4. Navigate to the storage location and locate the folder(s) that contain(s) the recordings you want to import to Echo360.   5. One folder at a time, right click to copy/paste the folder to your desktop.
  6. After a folder is copied, open it, and locate the .mov file. Play the file to identify which lecture it is, then rename the file accordingly.
  7. Log into Echo360.org using your email address and Echo360 password. If you forgot your password, click Forgot your password? and reset it.
  8. To upload your file(s), follow the direction on Echo360's Uploading Content to Your Library help page.
